SionCash Budget is a general planning tool for estimating combined regular income, side hustle income, monthly expenses, and budgets. By using the calculator, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly.

How estimates work

Weekly income is annualized using 52 weeks. Regular pay uses 52 weekly, 26 every-two-weeks, 24 twice-monthly, or 12 monthly payments per year. Monthly estimates divide annual income by 12. Actual pay dates and earnings may differ. Displayed values are rounded to two decimal places.

Planned spending and actual expenses are compared separately and are never both deducted from the same balance. Taxes, fees, and costs are only reflected to the extent they are already included in the figures you enter. No tax calculation is performed.

Savings estimates

The salary savings plan applies your chosen percentage to regular take-home pay, excluding side hustle income. Contributions are rounded to cents per paycheck, then annualized using the pay frequency you select. The default 20% is an adjustable planning target, not a personalized recommendation. The general budgeting guideline allocates that share to savings and debt payments together. Savings estimates exclude interest and investment returns. Keep the same contribution out of your expense rows to avoid counting it twice.

Emergency-fund plan

The emergency contribution is part of, not additional to, the total salary savings allocation. The 5% default and three-month goal are adjustable planning examples, not personalized recommendations. You choose essential monthly expenses, months to cover, and the amount already saved. Time to goal uses average monthly contributions, without interest, withdrawals, or changing expenses. The calculator flags budget shortfalls but cannot verify affordability. Existing emergency savings are not counted as income or deducted from expenses.

Currency selection

The currency selector changes the currency label and number formatting. It does not use exchange rates or convert values. Enter every amount in the selected currency; do not combine amounts from different currencies in one calculation.

Availability and responsibility

The calculator is provided as available. Figures may contain rounding differences, and service interruptions or software errors can occur. Keep your own records and review results before relying on them. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Printing, sharing, and external websites

You are responsible for choosing where to save, print, or send your report. The share feature offers a website-only link or a full financial snapshot. Full snapshots and downloaded reports include your financial figures and can be forwarded; share them only with people you trust. A recipient edits an independent copy, not a synchronized shared account. Snapshot links require access to the site; standalone HTML reports and PDFs can be opened without site access. Third-party websites and purchases are subject to their own terms.
